The face of Winyah Forest has changed.

Everyone is welcome in Winyah Forest, it is “everyone” friendly (except griefers of course).

Money tree on-site for all the new people.

Winyah forest has amalgamated Lothlorien Wiccan Shoppe, Aotearoa / New Zealand Pavillion Shop, Erehwon, Luthien Unsung altogether. New Vendors, completely new and simple open air concept build.

For the Love of Creation will remain as an SLExchange exclusive and those items will NOT be available in-world at all. If you want those items, you need to join SLExchange, it is free to join.

The Aotearoa / New Zealand Interactive Pavillion has recently ceased to exist.
Lothlorien and Arwen’s Garden will cease to exist in the future, as we plan on moving overseas again in the upcoming months, therefore, for now we are downsizing.

The Lexx still exists and will remain in the WInyah sky for all those Lexx fans who visit frequently, and a tp is available from the Winyah Forest Shop (right next to the Lexx Avatars).

Shoes - Do you have odd feet? Could this be the start of a new addiction?

All my life I have had problems buying RL shoes to fit my feet. My feet are in essence boxes at the end of my legs! they are wide, short and with a high instep. Short, wide, high instep shoes are really hard to find unless you happen to live in the USA apparently. I am SO happy! Yesterday I stepped into a shoe store (in Canada) I had never been in before. I found FOUR yes four pair of shoes that fit me right off the bat and they were not even “wide sized” shoes! Truly amazing, I did not even look at the prices, and was pleasantly surprised at how little this fabulous find cost, and considering they are fabulously made, in suedes and leathers. I purchased two pairs of a shorter (a couple of inches) heeled day pair of court shoes, a casual Mary Jane shoe and a gorgeous higher heeled evening pair. I was SO impressed I came home today after working night shift and did a search on my absolutely fav pair of the four pairs I bought to find they had them in another colour. Naturally I ordered a pair stat!

Perhaps I should get off my butt and try making them in SL so my avatar can be as comfortable as my RL self! lol!

I have been really busy

I have been really busy in RL lately. Not much time for creation. I was going to rez my St Patrick’s Day Shoppe and update/ create new things, however when I went looking for it, i found that SL had eaten it away from my inventory. I tried fixing this in the usual way, re-logging, clearing cache etc etc etc, however to no avail. Truly I did not have the time NOR the inclination to remake it all from scratch. Though I do have some nice jewellery pieces on SL Exchange.

On the land sale front, I only have about half of my plots left for sale, these are selling quite fast by SL standards.

Today I updated my land for sale in SecondLife page. My land has been divided as I had so many enquiries for much smaller plots than an entire half sim.

I met some very nice people in-world today. Odd since I very rarely rear my head up out of my work boxes! But it was very refreshing!

I made something special for Waitangi Day today

A special Jewellery set created to celebrate the Aotearoa / New Zealand Waitangi Day (February 6).

This is the transfer / mod version and is therefore giftable.

Modifiable so that you can place your own script, bling etc into it.

It is on special today from 2pm SLT (5 February) until midnight tomorrow night (6 February) SLT for L$1.  At that time it will revert to the normal price of 450L$ for the complete set.  Individual pieces will be available in the near future for the usual basic price of 100L$ each.

A copy/mod version is also available.

A great fun place to visit!

Today after work I decided to do some exploring with KaiLastOfTheBrunnenG and Jaseppi!

We visited a sim called Privateer Space - Explore the reaches of space (this link will take you to the space bar there). It is very 3 dimensional, have layer and layers of levels and gives out free zero gravity thingymebob that you wear and a free space explorer ship. Very  much  fun! Highly recommended! Alei Arai is the creator. It is fun in both windlight and the old client! This sim is DEFINATLEY worth visiting and make sure you explore every nook and cranny, ,ake sure you have you music turned on and make sure you click on absolutely every mortal thing! I don’t want to give too much away and spoil your fun!

Alas I am stuck -and I have good books to read!

Alas I am stuck at work all weekend! I will not be able to do anything constructive SL-wise until after Monday:/

On the other hand, I did buy two books in RL the other day. “The New Children and near Death Experiences” by PMH Atwater. Since I see quite a lot of death where I work and including children, I thought this might make for an interesting read. Much has been written and researched on adult near-death experiences, not so much on paediatric. This writer has been researching near death for over twenty five years now. So far from what I have read, it isn’t just a plethora of stories by children who have died and come back, it is much much more than that. It does look at things from an evolutionary point of view, it also relates what has happened to the brain and behaviour. It is managing to hold my interest. Hopefully I will manage to actually get it all finished between working RL and doing the SecondLife thang

I also bought a book called “Maya Cosmogenesis 2012“. by John Major Jenkins. Looks interesting and is concerned about the Mayan Calendar and the end of it which is obviously in 2012. Actually is more interesting to me because the end date is actually winter solstice of that year (21 December). The end of the world? I really do not think so, nor from what I have gathered BEFORE reading the book, it is more the end of the “fourth age” and the beginning of the “fifth age” of the world. Since it is only four years away, I am a little more than curious about it.
