I have never cashed any money out of Second Life. I do not have a paypal account and nor do I wish to have one. Linden Lab will send you a cheque. My RL partner is also in SL, we are a family group and all use the same CC to play. We sold some of the L$ we have amassed during the years of working in SL, which were converted to US$. We then filled in the form to have a cheque sent. This was declined with no reason, we resubmitted, this too was declined / no reason, we submitted a third time and finally we were sent an explanation as to why we were declined. It was because we had moved to another province during out time here and of course there is no way on the website to update this information. It really would be helpful if Linden Lab had some kind of (secure?) form on their website to allow for postal address changes and such.
Luckily I am a concierge user. I therefore called concierge and struck Dee Linden, who was extremely helpful. I of course had to provide my “secret word” which I will not divulge here, she seemed very surprised that I actually remembered it, and said “You would not believe how many people cannot remember that word. SO remember that word people in case you ever have to do anything with financing and such, it is their way of knowing it is YOU they are actually speaking to! So I went on changed my postal address etc etc. Dee Linden was very very helpful, and seems to have a good telephone humour, this always is a good thing IMHO. My partner however is not a concierge user, though he is premium, has to submit a ticket in order to change his information, goodness knows how long this may take.
Now we are sitting waiting to see what happens now:)
