All of my jewels are hand made. I do not use any mechanical means to place my prims. I know it is an old fashioned thing to be doing in SecondLife these days, but I really find hand making things so much more rewarding and quite therapeutic.
All of the jewellery on this page is available in two versions:
Mod/Tsfr – listed under the “Luthien Unsung” logo is giftable and costs a nominal fee of 100L$ for each piece.
(Available in-world and via SL Exchange.)
Mod/Copy – listed under the “For the Love of Creation” logo and are OL$ (free).
(Only available via SL Exchange for now.)
Although it seems that it doesn’t make much sense providing one version as a freebie, there is a reason in my madness.
I grew tired of people coming in-world to my shops and blatantly stating they were going to duplicate my stuff ( not just jewellery). Some were using alts, some were very blatant about it and didn’t use alts and would have conversations right in front of me stating these things. One particular person was a RL friend whom I had invited into SL sometime ago, and everything I made in SL she felt she had the need to make whatever I created to sell also.
I grew tired of all the nonesense and thought long and hard about why I was in SecondLife and decided to make a brand named “For the Love of Creation“.
The transferable version is very nominally priced, and can be given as a gift, whereas the free version cannot be given as a gift. I expect to be selling more copy/mods than tsfr/mods, but the option is there for people if they should require it:)
The pieces are all modifiable so that anyone buying one may modify it for fit, or to add their own scripts into them, whether that be bling scripts, AO scripts, colour scripts, or whatever script they wish to dream up ( many of these are freely available in-world or through the scripting libraries).
I do realize that by making the pieces modifiable, they will be more easily duplicated, however because they are FREE, really there is not much point anyone duplicating them to sell.
